Co-Parenting

Co ParentingSo we’ve all heard about Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, and no we will not be discussing yet another celebrity divorce. We’re going to discuss something beyond that – how a couple going through a divorce plans to handle the parenting aspect of their divorce.

Normally, when a couple divorces the idea is to get the heck out of there. However, with children things change, and it seems that this couple is taking a much friendlier approach. They are setting an example which, if possible, should be followed by other parents also going through a divorce.

Jennifer and Ben are putting the kids first. Regardless of how much money is in a relationship, parents must be sensitive to their children. According to Yahoo!, the couple will continue living together, in two separate houses on their Brentwood property.  Obviously, a family with a smaller income would not have the same opportunities but the effort to keep things friendly should be made.

This celebrity couple is not the first to try and end things on a more positive note, there have been a large number in recent years. The Inquisitr reports that the rise in popularity, when it comes to co-parenting, has occurred because of the belief that children of divorced parents experience more stress.

In a statement the couple informed the public, “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter,” reported Toshiba.
